Evia is the second largest of the Greek islands and one of the most accessible. Served by several ferry routes it is also connected to the mainland by a modern road bridge at Chalkida. It is a five minute drive from Nea Styra which is also the ferry terminal for the ferries from Agia Marina on the mainland. Agia Marina is only a 40 minute drive from Athens International airport and the ferry crossing itself takes 45 minutes. The ferry service operates throughout the year and there are regular daily sailings.
