ICHALIA

Ichalia is a traditional Greek village. It has a square with a popular market every Sunday. A mini market and a doctors surgery are held in the village twice a week.

Nearby Meligalas has a supermarket and a range of shopping facilities, as well as a medical centre, dentists, banks, cafes and a hair dresser

20 minutes to the west are the magnificent sandy beaches of Kalo Nero, which stretch into the distance. The house, which is on the edge of the village, is 1 km from the Athens – Kalamata motorway. This now reduces travelling time from Athens to just over two hours.

THE PELOPONNESE

The Peloponnese is one of the last unspoilt regions of Europe. The mountain and coastal scenery is in many places breathtaking. Small villages where rural life goes on virtually unchanged, dot the landscape. The occasional  donkey can still be seen, ambling home with its owner.

KALAMATA

Kalamata the regional capital, is 20 minutes from Ichalia. It has a wide range of shopping facilities and luxury hotels as well as has a long promenade with sandy beaches. A wide range of tavernas and cafes is available. Other features of the town include a modern hospital, an airport and a busy yacht marina.

The airport receives direct flights from most European countries from April to October.  Scheduled domestic flights from Athens, operate throughout the year. The flight time from Athens is 45 minutes.
